HOW TO BE UNBEATABLE

To become an unbeatable and permanent master of your mind, you need to learn the art of goal setting. Goals are the very driving force behind our motivation, determination, and willpower. They are the beacons on the horizon beckoning us forward to accomplish the tasks we have set before ourselves and the milestones that validate our dexterity within that quest. They are paramount to our prosperity.

10 ways to become unbeatable.

1. Passion

You cannot become rich or achieve any other kind of success in life if you don’t have passion in your life or passion about what you are doing. Be it the simplest thing or the most sophisticated thing, you need passion in order to succeed.

“When work, commitment, and pleasure all become one and you reach that deep well where passion lives, nothing is impossible."

You have a 9 to 5 job drawing a good pay, you have a good family and all’s well with the world. But deep inside, you feel like you are going nowhere. The job isn’t moving upward either. You are actually stagnating in your career and mentally and spiritually. Something is missing.

Passion does not come overnight. Taking these proactive steps will see a gradual increase in your enthusiasm. You will begin working with a newly fired zeal, which becomes contagious, motivating your teammates as well. You will have consciously taken charge of your life again and the fruits of prosperity will be in sight once again.

2. Mentality

The Oxford English Dictionary defines “mindset” as “the established set of attitudes held by someone.” Now, whichever way you define success, be it success as the achievement of an external set of circumstances, such as the achievement of goals, or define it as an internal state such as peace and bliss, both definitions require a mindset which is conducive to them, a mindset that works side by side with them.

Success in achieving our goals comes down to a ‘success mindset’. Successful mindsets are those focused on victory, based on positive mental attitudes, empowering inclinations and good habits. Acquiring a success mindset is the sure-fire way to dramatically increase your chance to achieve your goals. This is often easier said than done because as humans we tend to lean much more towards the negative than the positive.

3. Motivation

If you want to achieve greatness, you need to stop asking for permission. This is why motivation is important in life because it stops asking questions and aligns you to work towards your goals. Goals are the stepping stones toward your dreams so in order to achieve them, you need motivation to keep you chugging along towards them.

Not everyone is born with motivation. There is a severe lack in some who believe ‘I’ll get to that one day’ or ‘the timing isn’t right’ or a classic case of ‘I can’t do that’. Motivation is the defining factor that turns a good thought into immediate action. It turns a good idea into a business and can positively impact the world around you. Without motivation, you can’t achieve anything. There are no goal posts to aim for and no purpose to strive towards. Motivation is an important life skill. The reason it’s important is because every person on this earth is unique and has a purpose. To steward your purpose well, you have to be motivated to work towards your goals which helps your dreams become a reality. Not1 just for your sake, but the sake of others as well.

 4. Responsibility

Personal responsibility means having the strength to make the right choice when faced with a challenge. And this is how you take the driver’s seat of your life and become more accountable.
No blaming, no complaining. Blaming others puts you in the position of victim-hood and complaining is just another way to shake off responsibility. Together they disable you from making real changes.

Don’t take things personally. Remember, disagreements are not personal attacks. Try and see things objectively and rationally instead of reacting on impulse. There’s great power in being able to make conscious, calculated choices. Always keep your goals in mind and choose your actions accordingly. Responsibility permeates all aspects of your life. It means arriving to work on time, providing for your family, and paying your dues.

5. Push Your Limit

The only thing stopping you from reaching your goals and dreams are your limits. It’s when you meet your limits that you feel resistance and things you want seem harder to achieve. Whether it is fear, doubt, physical abilities or some other mental block, it can present a huge barrier to getting what you want.

In order to reach your dreams or goals, you need to push through your limits and past your comfort zone. There are no shortcuts. Whatever is worth doing is worth doing well. That’s been my personal motto for success in life. It’s my way of reminding me to constantly push myself and not settle for average

6. Confident

Confidence is believing in yourself, feeling comfortable in your true-self, knowing you have worth. If you are confident, people believe you, confidence is attractive, brings success, helps to connect well with others and you generally feel happier. Only you can say you’re not confident
How to gain confidence & maintain it.

Have a positive mind chatter &  believe you’re a good person, Learn to like, respect & love yourself, Be social, Go outside of your comfort zone & have a go, Remain goal-orientated & be proud of your achievements, Accept compliments, Do things your good at
Consider yourself & know you’re a good person, Spoil yourself, Present clean & tidy, Accept you & others are not perfect, you make mistakes, but accept responsibility, Be happy & know you deserve it, Accept who you are, Do things you enjoy, Don’t put things off, Have gratitude, Be a kind person, Look forward to life & the future, Feel you are in control & have the power to change things, Look for solutions to challenges & ways to achieve success, Encourage people around you & respect their views, Respect your own views & stand up for yourself assertively.

7. Smart Work

If you want to work smart, you have to be smart. If you want to create value in the creative society, your brain muscle must be as strong as possible. You have to constantly train your brain muscle and challenge it to new levels; both the analytical and the creative part of your brain are very important.

Training your brain muscle doesn’t mean being only formally educated. Universities, slowly adaptable organizations, are unfortunately way behind market trends in most cases. Whether formal education makes sense completely depends from person to person (costs, desired occupation etc.), but no matter what you decide, the key thing is to get skilled up and acquire as much practical knowledge as possible.

8. Self Belief

Self-belief can be defined as confidence in your own skin, abilities or judgement. Many people struggle with this in different ways, for example I’d say I am quite a confident person socially and at one with my body image. But I lack belief in my own intelligence and always seem to need validation, and encouragement off others. Self-belief is such an important quality to have, as without the ability to believe in your own worth and actions you may struggle to reach your full potential and live a less fulfilling life. If you don’t believe in your ability you won’t achieve the standards that you’re capable of. If you don’t believe in your own judgements you will become indecisive and less willing to take risks. If you don’t feel comfortable in your own skin this can affect your happiness and confidence.

Self-belief is very important as research has proven you can become a self-fulfilling prophecy – clearly evidenced by the amount of self-help books on the market encouraging the use of the phrases ‘I can do it’, ’I will do it’, ‘I am strong’ and ‘I am beautiful’. The fact that there are such books on the market reflects that we live in a society where self-belief is lacking. Although, there is the potential that people may fear coming across as being vein, showing off, or being cocky when trying to express self-belief.

9. Execution

A business leader’s job is to successfully move the organization forward and improve business performance. This requires a continuous process of reflection, analysis, planning and execution. There is no better way to learn/practice these skills than “by doing”. During a business simulation exercise participants create their own plans and execute them in the simulation. The “execution” using the simulation is easy. In the real-world, not so easy. According to FranklinCovey leaders are good at planning, but struggle with execution. FranklinCovey has found that organizations fail at execution because :

It doesn’t matter how good your strategies and tactics are, if you don’t execute them well it won’t really matter.

10. Fear

We all have, face and deal with different types of fear at various stages in our lives. But is fear really a bad thing? What is the message being communicated by fear?
Fear is not necessarily a bad thing; it is one of the inbuilt human survival instincts.
Too much fear that paralyses action is the bad thing. Have you ever done something you were fearful of doing than looking back you wonder why was I scared?

Many people face different fears every day including myself. My biggest fear is the fear of failure and as a result, I push myself hard and set high targets for myself so that the effort exerted and progress becomes worth it.
Being fearful is a scary feeling, it makes one imagine all sorts of outcomes and scenarios. Sometimes the fear can be so intense to the point of inaction.
Persevering through and in spite of fear stems from a determination to succeed and make a difference in your life and those of other people. To make a mark in the world.
